A nice Post showing McCain ahead...

I must admit that it is rather hard to find positive remarks concerning Senator McCain (or any Republican for that matter) in the Palm Beach Post... but a Post blog surprised me today by reporting facts! A new Rasmussen poll shows McCain ahead in Florida by 2 pts... which shows a tight race while he is still very much within the margin of error. The lead is nice... but we need to work hard to make sure we turn out everyone we can to make sure the election favors Senator McCain a little more then this...

An average of all of the latest polls by RealClearPolitics.com shows about the same spread with McCain up at +2.6. This clearly (pun intended) shows that it is still a 50/50 race and that we have to do everything we can in these last 76 days to help Senator McCain win on November 4th, 2008!

New Fla. poll: McCain 48, Obama 46

A new Rasmussen poll of Florida voters finds Republican John McCain with a 2-point lead over Democrat Barack Obama — well within the poll’s 4.5 percent margin of error.

McCain leads 48-to-46 percent.

Here’s the poll, which was conducted Monday and had a sample of 700 likely Florida voters.

Rasmussen’s July poll showed Obama with a 2-point lead in Florida.

While the candidates have remained in a virtual tie over the past two Rasmussen polls, McCain enjoys significantly higher favorability ratings with voters. McCain was viewed favorably by 61 percent of voters and unfavorably by 36 percent. Obama’s favorable/unfavorable score was a dangerous 49/48.
